BCAA is so much more than just a private school. Our goal is to give your family an experience you can’t find anywhere other than here!
#1: We Are Family!
We want to get to know your family, so please invite your whole family to attend our free fun family events all year long: Starting the 2021-2022 school year, we will be adding all sorts of fun events for families to be a part of. Meet ‘n Greet, Photo Booths, Fall Pumpkin Patch (family field trip), Thanksgiving Food Drive supporting Mission Arlington, Christmas Party, and Spring, Fall, and Christmas Photo Shoot, Summer BBQ, Back to School Splash Day, Muffins With Mom, Donuts With Dad, just to name a few. You are always welcome to volunteer at any of our events.
#2: We Honestly Care About You And Your Child!
Our friendly interaction and open communication helps you feel wanted, needed, and appreciated. Our warm, home-like atmosphere sets the standard for how you’ll feel treated at BCAA and we quickly address your questions and concerns. We work together as a team to provide the very best for your child.
#3: Your Child Will Build Close Friendships!
Our small classes allow your child to be comfortable and grow valuable friendships with the other children and their teachers. Conflict-resolution skills are vitally important to learn at this age, that is why we help your child work through their problems with other children. Eventually they’re using the same strategies and words we’ve taught them, all by themselves.
#4: Your Child Will Be MORE Than Ready For Higher Education!
Your child will receive individualized instruction in many areas. Our teachers will guide your child in the areas they need to improve, and challenge them when they’re ready for more. Our balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities follows the NAEYC guidelines to strengthen your whole child’s development: Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical. We have an amazing reading program. Children start Kindergarten reading at a 1st to 2nd grade level. If children attend Kindergarten and early elementary at BCAA, they will continue to be challenged and learn at an advanced level.
#5: We Keep Your Child Healthy And Safe!
Teaching children is a huge responsibility, and we don't take it lightly! We have a private school exception from the state of Texas and CPR/1st Aid Certified, but our distinct policies and procedures regarding health and safety help to keep your child in a safe, clean environment. We’re constantly cleaning, washing hands, and monitoring all activities to prevent any accidents. There are safety measures in place for all types of situations, weather and emergency related. We want to allow families to feel confident they have chosen the best school for their children.
#6: Your Child Will Love Our Teachers!
Our teachers will help your child come out of his/her shell, gain self confidence, and grow in all areas of development. Our teachers have 7-30 years of teaching experience and an education in Early Childhood Education. But more importantly, our teachers truly care for every child and will grow a close bond with your child and family!
#7: Most Of Our Events Are Free!
As soon as things open back up, we will be going on several field trips each year, and you get to join your child on them. We’ll go to places like: the Fort Worth Zoo, Arlington Public Library, Fire Station, Mad Mikes Ice Cream Store, Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm, and more! We’ll also celebrate special occasions with parties for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and your child’s birthday! We will also be providing a school shirt for each child to wear during field trips.
#8: We Help You Create A Portfolio!
We help you put together a special portfolio that you can take to your child's next teacher. If they are going to a different kindergarten, they will need it so they can be challenged since they normally are at an advanced level. Our Kindergarten and Early Elementary classes will have all of their work added to a binder and it will be sent home at the end of the school year. Art projects are sent home each week and it is up to the parent to decide which ones to save.
#9: We Capture And Help Preserve Your Memories!
We offer you the opportunity to enrich your BCAA experience by enjoying school pictures, class pictures, graduation pictures, cap ‘n gown pictures, and MANY pictures taken throughout the school year and summer. We upload everything to snapfish so if a parent wants to order prints or other projects, they can do that. We also send the parents MOST of the pictures we take from our iPhone.
#10: We Help Build Your Child's Library!
Each child gets a book basket with leveled readers added to their basket throughout the school year. They also get a small phonics reader that is part of our curriculum each month. Once a month, they also get a book from Scholastic sent home, usually themed to whatever holiday is that month. Parents have the option of ordering from Scholastic Book Clubs monthly. Their orders help us build up points and earn free books for our school library. They also have the option of ordering from our Usborne Books and More website and helping us earn hostess points for free books that way, as well. We give the children books for their birthday and Christmas. We like to gift from Scholastic and UBAM along with something themed that goes along with it.
